Internet and communication technology is causing ruptures in the music industry as we know it. After many years fighting it, even the major labels are now moving to alternative businessmodels offering us, the music fans, new and cheaper ways to enjoy music.

Here are some links to social communities, record labels, artists and other sites that let you stream and/or download music for free and totally legal.

Some sites requires you to register (R) or supply your e-mail adress (E), but all services are totally free. The sites offer at least one of the following: streaming of music (m) or videos (v) or downloads of music (M) or videos (V).

www.deezer.com    m v

The concept is simple: Offer streaming and legally free all music, from rock to hip hop through jazz or world music… At the same time, it is to pay artists and all rights holders by sharing ad revenue.

with media, including music, video and photos, and form connections based on shared tastes and interests.

www.nin.com    E    M v

www.we7.com    R    M v

With We7, you can stream and download music for free with an ad or pay to download without an ad. We offer all our downloads in high quality MP3 format.
